Our House-Hunting Story

Front of House (needs landscaping)
We arrived in Chattanooga on Cora's 2-month birthday, January 24th and viewed 17 houses in just 3 days!

One of the last houses we viewed, the day before we left Chattanooga, was the one we decided could be our new home. We extended an offer just four days later. The offer has been accepted by the seller and we are now entering into a contract.

The house was built in 1903 and has been recently renovated. It is located in North Chattanooga, a neighborhood near downtown on the north side of the Tennessee River. We can walk to the aquarium, pedistrian bridge, Coolidge Park, and North Shore retail district. The house has three bedrooms, a bonus room that we plan to use as the nursery, and two baths. The front of the house is a bit lacking...although we hope that some rocking chairs, landscaping, and a different season will help it look better (the tree in the front yard is a very large, old oak). We love the inside though.

We might be able to move into the house by the end of February if inspections and other closing items go quickly (fingers crossed). We'll keep you posted.

Hope you like the photos! And you (the collective you) can visit us anytime and stay in a guest room. Hooray!
